The line's head office is in Monaco, but it operates a U.S. branch in Miami. Although Princess' ships are mainly registered in Bermuda, a small number is U.K.-flagged. Its head offices are in Miami, and all but one of its ships are registered in the Marshall Islands.

We make sure cruisers are fully prepared for their cruise vacation with tips on ships and ports.Millions of travelers rely on Cruise Hive in the United States, Europe, Australia, and around the world. Carnival’s move to upgrade its headquarters underscores how well the cruise industry has done in recent years. Carnival, one of the largest cruise companies in the world, has seen bookings bounce back to a record since the pandemic.

Celebrity Cruises is part of the Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. family, with headquarters near Royal Caribbean's in Miami. Most of its vessels are registered in Malta, but a couple are flagged to the Bahamas. Carnival Cruise Line first moved into the Doral office space – located at 3655 NW 87th Avenue, Miami – in 1983, having paid $16.6 million (USD) for the real estate at that time. While the cruise line does not appear to be relocating outside of the Miami area, the downsizing in office space can be a smart financial step as office roles have changed since the company first started in the location more than 30 years ago. The port of call will open with one dock capable of handling Carnival’s largest ships, the 6,000-passenger Excel class. They are an invaluable resource, helping yousave time, money, and avoid the stress of vacation-planning.

Ken Tate joined Carnival Cruise Line as vice president of revenue management in 2012 and was promoted to his current position, executive vice president and chief commercial officer, in 2018. In this capacity, Tate is responsible for revenue management and ship deployments, as well as trade and direct sales channels, including the pre-cruise contact center. Carnival's strategic real estate decisions reflect a larger trend observed among cruise operators reassessing their office requirements in the post-pandemic era.

Debuting in summer 2025, the port of call will welcome ships from Florida ports Port Canaveral, PortMiami, Tampa and Jacksonville, as well as six other U.S. ports. Carnival Corporation’s stock went from $71.65 in 2018 to an all-time low of $8.49 in April 2020. Yet, a lot of work remains to be done if Carnival Corporation is to come back on top once again. Chairman of the Board Micky Arison provided an update to Carnival Corporations’ operational status today. In a letter addressed to shareholders, the former President and CEO of the company provided insight into the company’s operating and financial status. Royal Caribbean International, overseen by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., is headquartered in Miami, and its ships are registered in the Bahamas.

For example, MSC Group has committed to occupying 130,000 square feet (12,077 m2) in a new mixed-use development near downtown Miami and is in the process of constructing a new cruise terminal at PortMiami. As the only company currently operating the far more environmentally friendly LNG-powered cruise ships, there is no denying that Carnival Corporation is placing far more significant importance on its role in the community. Of course, with incidents involving environmental compliance on several of its ships in recent years, the cruise company had to take action. Ted Arison founded Carnival Cruise Line in 1972 and revolutionized the cruise industry with a vision to make a vacation experience once reserved for the wealthy accessible to everyone.

It has both a river cruising division and an ocean one that operates a mix of Bahamas- and Malta-flagged ships. Carnival Panorama, another sister to Carnival Vista, entered service as the cruise line's flagship on December 11, 2019. She became the first new ship to homeport on the West Coast since Paradise (now Carnival Paradise) in 1998. At 101,000 GT , it became the largest passenger ship in the world at the time and first to exceed 100,000 tons.

There is no hint that the cruise line might relocate to a completely different area, such as moving closer to Port Canaveral or another busy cruise port. Carnival Corporation, parent company of Carnival Cruise Line and other great brands, is the global leader in the cruise industry, leading the way in innovative and sustainable cruising to deliver memorable vacations and build borderless connections. But we never forget to create unforgettable happiness for our guests during their extraordinary cruise vacations, all while honoring the integrity of every ocean we sail, place we visit and life we touch. For Carnival, the sale is a chance to unlock a potential windfall from decades of real estate growth in Doral, where property values have soared alongside the area’s condo boom and the popularity of Donald Trump’s Blue Monster golf course. But it will also mean the company will be navigating a red-hot market to find new office space in the Miami region.

This downsizing aligns with a broader trend toward more streamlined utilization of office space, potentially influenced by hybrid work arrangements and technological advancements. By the summer, when the company traditionally makes the most money, Carnival Corporation hopes to have all ships in the fleet operational. Carnival Corporation also re-opened all of its eight owned and operated private destinations and port facilities. Currently, eight out of the nine brands in Carnival’s portfolio are operational. By the end of 2021, the company had 50 ships back in operation, representing 67% of total capacity, returned 65,000 crew members to work, and carried 1.2 million guests. Part of Genting Hong Kong Ltd., Crystal Cruises has its corporate headquarters in Los Angeles.

Carnival isn’t the only cruise company rethinking its headquarters and office space in the post-COVID world. Swiss cruise company MSC Group announced earlier this year that it would take about 130,000 square feet at a mixed-use development under construction near Miami’s downtown. MSC is also building a new four-story cruise terminal at PortMiami, which is expected to handle three ships and up to 36,000 passengers per day at any given time.

The company has 120,000 employees globally and serves about 13 million cruise vacationers per year. At the same time, however, the company will need to search for new office space. There is no indication yet where that might be, though it would be logical to secure a space closer to the cruise terminals, if possible.
